Junior Blue Belt

General Requirements
  1. Good moral character and maturity.

  2. Regular practice and attendance.

  3. Minimum of 6 months time in grade.

 

Ability To Demonstrate – All throws from right and left side.  

Throwing Techniques

  1. OKURI-ASHI-HARAI – 3 STEP FOLLOW FOOT SWEEP

  2. HIZA GURUMA – KNEE WHEEL THROW

  3. KOSHI-GURUMA – AROUND THE NECK/HIP THROW

  4. TAI-OTOSHI – MIDDLE SIDE BODY THROW

 

Choking Techniques (11 and older)

  1. Nami juji jime (normal cross choke)
  2. Okuri eri jime (sliding lapel choke)

 

Joint Locks (11 and older)

  1. Ude garami (coil arm lock)
  2. Ude gatame (arm lock)

 

General Techniques

  1. Demonstrate one combination technique.
  2. Demonstrate one counter technique.

  3. Demonstrate all throws from right and left side.  

 

Tournament Experience

Multiple contest experience (2 or more competition). Must have 4 wins

Seniors must follow the Hudson Judo Promotional requirements for points.

Double the time in grade may be substituted for competition experience for non competitors. Familiarity with training exercises with emphasis on etiquette, rules and prohibited matters.

Monday: 6:30-7:30 pm       (No Summer Judo) 

Monday: 7:30-9:00 pm       (Teens & Adults)

Wednesday: 6:30-7:30 pm (12 and under)

Wednesday: 7:30-9:00 pm (Teens & Adults)

Saturday: 8:45-9:30 am      (Kids 4 -  11 years)

Saturday: 9:30-11:00 am    (Ages 12 - Adult)
